My Platform

Leadership Beyond Politics

My mission is simple: run the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office at the highest level by putting public safety before politics, rebuilding morale, and working across party lines.

Our country, state, and even our county are too divided. I believe in common-sense leadership, not extreme positions. I recognize the good and bad in both sides and will work within the laws passed by our elected officials. However, when laws directly affect the Sheriff's Office and our community, we cannot remain silent. It's time to speak up, and more importantly, it's time to listen.

Leadership is about taking action when it matters, not just when it's politically convenient. We don't need more empty promises.

Supporting Those Who Serve

A strong Sheriff's Office starts with the people who dedicate their lives to serving our community. I support our workers and will make it a priority to boost morale, listen to their concerns, and open an honest dialogue between leadership and staff. A department functions best when its members feel heard, valued, and supported. I will ensure that happens.

As Sheriff, I will be directly involved in labor relations and contract negotiations, ensuring that our employees receive fair treatment and that the department operates efficiently. No one knows the needs of our workforce better than the men and women who do the job every day. Their voices must be heard at the bargaining table, and leadership must be actively engaged, not just when elections come around.

Key Issues

I will work tirelessly to address the issues that impact both the Sheriff's Office and the people of Saratoga County:

  • School Safety - Ensuring our schools have the protection and resources they need to keep students and staff safe.

  • Second Amendment - Defending law-abiding citizens rights while ensuring responsible firearm ownership.

  • Homelessness - Partnering with community organizations to develop effective solutions that reduce crime and improve public safety.

  • Pistol Permits - Speeding up the issuance process to prevent unnecessary delays for responsible gun owners. At the same time, we must also address the speed at which permits are revoked, ensuring the process is fair and not abused.

  • TERPOs (Extreme Risk Protection Orders) - Preventing the overuse of these orders to protect due process rights.

  • Bail Reform - Advocating for balanced policies that keep dangerous offenders off the streets while ensuring fairness in the justice system and empowering our judges to place bail on violent criminals.

  • Police Reform - Reform starts from within. We need to focus on hiring practices, training, and community relations to ensure we have the best people serving our community. Real reform means starting real community programs, not just talking about them. As Sheriff, I will personally attend every hiring and promotion interview to ensure we are selecting the right candidates who reflect our department's values and commitment to public service.

  • Community Engagement - Create long term relationships between law enforcement and the people we serve. Programs such as the youth cadets, neighborhood watch, self defense classes, community advisory boards, and offering more victim support. As an agency we need to interact and give back.

These are not just talking points; they are real challenges that demand real solutions. Leadership isn't about making empty promises, it's about taking action. As your Sheriff, I will work every day to make sure the people of Saratoga County see results, not rhetoric.
