Family tradition..
Like father, like sons
I am a proud resident of Saratoga County, where my wife, Kelly, and I are raising our son and building a life in the community we love. Saratoga County isn’t just where I live, it’s where I’ve dedicated my career, raised my family, and invested my time in making a difference.
Since a very young age I knew I wanted to be a police officer and follow in my families footsteps. Ultimately, that dream became a reality and I have proudly served 25 years in law enforcement, including 21 years with the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. I’ve served in a variety of roles that have shaped my leadership and commitment to public safety. From supervising, patrol and traffic enforcement, evidence work, to working as a school resource officer, I’ve always believed in proactive, community-focused policing. I was proud to play a key role in establishing the county’s first school resource officer program, as well as launching the youth cadet program, which continues to inspire the next generation of law enforcement professionals. Additionally, as a past member of the Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard and Color Guard, I’ve been honored to represent our agency and fallen heroes with the respect they deserve.
For more than a decade, I have also served as president of the Saratoga County Deputy Sheriffs PBA, advocating for the men and women who put their lives on the line every day. Being a union president is a tough, often thankless job, there is no extra pay, just countless hours spent negotiating contracts, addressing concerns, and ensuring our deputies have the resources and support they need. But for me, it has always been about something bigger: strengthening the bond between law enforcement and the people we serve. I’ve worked hard to make sure our PBA is not just a union, but an organization that gives back, whether through charity events, community outreach, or programs that support local families.
Outside of law enforcement, one of my greatest passions is coaching youth sports. I currently coach in three different towns, Halfmoon, Clifton Park, and Malta, helping young athletes develop not just their skills, but also the discipline, teamwork, and confidence that will serve them well in life. Coaching has given me the opportunity to mentor kids, build relationships with families, and stay involved in the community in a way that extends beyond my career.
When I’m not working, I am splitting time between union business, coaching, but always making sure I spend time with my family. We admire the outdoors and enjoying everything upstate New York has to offer. Whether it’s spending time around car shows, in the woods, on the water, or just with family and friends, I believe in making the most of every moment. Saratoga County has given me so much, and I am committed to making it an even better place for families, businesses, and law enforcement alike.
